In the year of our Lord Jesus 2011 we celebrated the 300th anniversary of St. Paul’s founding.
On June 5th, 2011, at 9:30, we gathered for worship at the site of Queen Anne’s Chapel, our original 1711 building. For details click here.
During that time St. Paul’s has been a constant reminder of God’s saving presence in Newbury, then in Newburyport. We were here for the great earthquake of 1727. We’ve been here through the Great Awakening, the American Revolution, the Civil War, and the Gilded Age. We were here during the wars of the 20th century, and when humans first set foot on the moon.
We’re still here.
Here is a brochure about the events by which we marked this anniversary.
