Serving as an assistant catechist is a wonderful way to serve God and our children. You’re invited. Please see here for an introduction to this service.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori based early Christian formation program offered at St. Paul’s since 2000. CGS has three levels in line with Maria Montessori’s “planes of development”.

At each of the levels of CGS children are drawn into the aspects of Christian faith that correspond to their developmental needs at that time:
Level I: Children ages 3-5 Young children are sensitive to the need for protection – our core message is the love and care of the Good Shepherd.
Level II : Children ages 6-9 Our work with this age group focuses on moral issues – our work focuses on moral parables including the True Vine, The Found Coin and The Forgiving Father.
Level III: Children ages 9-12 Older children are sensitive to heroism and able to see a larger historical context – our work focuses on the plan of God and stories of Abraham, Moses, Noah and other Hebrew scriptures.
Beautiful visual and tactile materials are a highlight of the program. See here for photos of some materials from the St. Paul’s CGS program.
Sunday AM Youth Forum: ages 13 – 16 Sunday morning program for older children focusing on bible themes and youth issues.
